Calculating diesel consumption for a 966 varies on many factors. A generalized calculation would be low 2.1-2.6 GPH, medium 2.6-3.1 GPH, and high 3.1-3.8 GPH.
Send message »Diesel fuel is less refined and ranges from C-1 carbon molecules to C-25 in size. Due to the chemical complexity of diesel fuel, the engines require more compression, spark and heat to burn the larger molecules in the combustion chamber. The unburned diesel fuel eventually is pushed out of cylinder as 'black smoke'. You may have seen big.
Send message »Both gas and diesel loaders can be serviced easily. Diesel engines tend to have extended service intervals versus gasoline. Re-Sale Value. Diesel powered loaders, as a rule, would hold a better re-sale value than a gas loader….
Send message »· It's impossible for a diesel car to burn gasoline. If it does manage to burn it, the detonation of the mixture will occur at irregular times. The pistons and piston arms are designed to withstand the fuel explosion if the explosion occurs in a timely manner. Gasoline in a diesel engine burns the fuel at irregular times and can, therefore.
Send message »· In the debate about gas vs diesel for towing a fifth wheel, the gasoline engine has some unique benefits: Less expensive. A gas-powered heavy-duty truck is at least $10,000 less than its diesel counterparts, depending on configurations and brands. It's a huge plus point since most of the rookie RVers don't want to shed so much money on.
Send message »By averaging both diesel and gasoline fuel costs from 12 different sources I came up with marine gasoline averaging $2. 97 per gallon and diesel costing $2.50 per gallon. So on average, diesel is $.47 per gallon cheaper than gasoline at this writing.
Send message »· In this video I discuss and show the differences between Jet-A, Diesel, Heating Oil, Kerosine, Avgas (100LL), and Gasoline. I made this video because many pe.
Send message »· So, with respect to the diesel versus gas mileage equation, even though gasoline is more volatile and easier to combust, gasoline still produces 30% less fuel economy than diesel. That means for every 7 miles a gasoline engine will cover on a gallon of gas, a diesel engine will cover 10.
Send message »· Gas and diesel engines both convert fuel into energy through a series of small explosions or combustions. However, these engines have their differences as well. Keep reading to learn all about what makes gas and diesel engines unique, the four-stroke combustion cycle, common misconceptions and more.
Send message »· Diesel engines, like gasoline-burning units, are internal combustion engines (ICE). That means fuel is mixed with air as it goes into the engine and that mixture is compressed internally, inside.
Send message »· One gallon of diesel fuel stores about 38 kilowatt hours of energy, or 130,000 BTU. The engine converts that energy into the power needed to overcome resistance and move the boat through the water. As for the boat, the more easily it moves through the water, the less energy is required.

Send message »A correctly tuned diesel engine consumes fuel according to its power requirements. Simple really, the more power you produce the more fuel you use. The fuel consumption rate for many makes of Diesel Engines can be found in a range between 0.380 & 0.450 lbs/hp hour; 172 & 181 grams/hp hour; 231 & 243 grams/kW hour. This does not represent a big.
Send message »This chart approximates the fuel consumption of a diesel generator based on the size of the generator and the load at which the generator is operating. Please note that this table is intended to be used as an estimate of how much fuel a generator uses during operation and is not an exact representation due to various factors that can increase.
Send message »· The Mighty Diesel Will Burn Almost Any Fuel—But Not Gas. Before delving into the effects gasoline has on the components in a diesel injection system, it's important to remember that gas is basically a solvent, whereas diesel is an oil-based fuel ….
Send message »· People can run 20% kerosene or 20% diesel in their gas burning vehicle if hey want but it is a waste of money and waste of fuel it also clogges up the catalotic converter. I only did this as a test to confirm 20% kerosene is the correct amount to mix with gasoline. It works good in my hobby jet engine even though the engine has not way to suck.

1. Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) is a fossil fuel substitute for gasoline (petrol), diesel, or propane fuel. 2. Although its combustion does produce greenhouse gases, it is a more environmentally clean alternative to those fuels. 3. CNG may also be mixed with biogas, produced from landfills or ….
Send message »· Gasoline, on the other hand, is more of a solvent. According to Indiana Diesel, this means that gasoline is more acidic than diesel fuel and can burn away at surfaces, causing corrosion and damage. Diesel fuel is far less volatile than gasoline, which can be ignited by only a spark. Engines fueled by gasoline will create anywhere between 2,500.

Send message »You can learn about the processes of the individual engines by clicking these links: Diesel engine, Gasoline engine. The two main types of engines used in cars right now burn either diesel fuel, or gasoline. While the engines share many of the same parts, including the engine block, the engines have a few distinct differences, namely, ignition, starter motors, and outputs.
Send message »· Mixing gasoline and diesel fuel will cause bad fuel millage, poor power as well as your engine might be a bit more loud ( knocking sound), but will fire-up in cold. No more than 10 % of gasoline in very cold zones with bad diesel fluid.

Send message »Go to your local gas station and fill the jug with 1 or 2 gallons of diesel fuel. Use the funnel to pour the diesel fuel into the spray bottle. We recommend you do this in your garage, tool shed, or any other place away from plant cover to avoid killing plants that you want to keep by accidentally spilling some of the diesel.
